The Doyle Trophy
Bob Doyle was the North East Sales Representative for Ideal Standard and was a founder member of the BTU Golfing Society North East. Bob donated a Shield for the Captain’s Trophy. When D S Byles became Captain in 1971, the Shield had no more space left to record future winners. With the help of Ian Franks, Stuart bought a replacement trophy which was named after Bob Doyle.
